In your quest for a perfect body, you might ignore some dangerous signs and end up damaging your body in the short or long run. The fact is that each human is constructed differently and workouts that might work for your gym pal might not work out for you. You should therefore avoid some common body building mistakes that could jeopardize your body's future.
Going flat out from day one. Many people think that by doing the maximum sets and reps with the maximum weights from day one, they will get a great body very quickly. Unfortunately this could result in a quick burnout at the least but in severe cases could even lead to injury. Instead of going flat out, go progressive and increase your weights as soon as your body gets used to them.
Eating the wrong foods in wrong quantity. Although your bodybuilding endeavor might require a higher intake of carbohydrates and proteins, it should be based on your current body weight and nutritional requirements. Blindly eating eggs and meat, and gulping down milk by the gallon can put an unnecessary strain on your digestive system and you might end up burning more calories than you consume or retain too many calories at the end of the day.
Not going to the gym regularly and skipping warm ups. If you are not attending gym on a regular basis then you will not be able to train each muscle group to its maximum potential. This could leave you with a disproportionate body with muscles in some parts and fat on the other. You should be consistent in your attendance and should also remain motivated enough to turn up on the next day. Skipping warm ups in a bid to save time at the gym too could be downright dangerous as you might damage muscles, tendons or bones when you start exercising with a cold body.
